Get rid of addiction in two simple steps

Do you ever dream about quitting an unhealthy habit but never do because you have heard way too many time that it is hard to do? Well, it may require some dedication and effort but it can be way easier than one might think.

There is a simple technique following which will help you to get rid of the addiction. 1. Stop introducing the substance that you are addicted to for three days in a row. It takes only three days for the body to completely eliminate possible "leftovers" of the substance in question. This means that the physical craving for the substance will stop. 2. Replace the old physical action with the new one. After three days without introducing the substance into the body, any physical cravings will stop.

But you have to be ready to face the emotional craving that will be there. If you, for example, a sugar addict and consume sweet things as a relieve from stress and negative emotions, after three days of not consuming any sweets the craving will be there because something unpleasant might occur.

So now, since you know what you feel that craving, replace the actual activity with a more favorable: talk to a supporting friend, go for a walk, pick a fruit instead of candy, exercise, or chew a sugar-free chewing gum.
